Sure, there are many scams on escort websites. The majority of escorts are scams. Most men avoid escort website altogether because its so difficult to find the ones operating to high standards. Let me give you some examples:
Fake pictures - The girls have no similarity with the model like pictures on the site.
Overpriced - The girls work on the road, or in brothels, but are sold for an inflated price as an escort service
Different girl - The pictures are real but they never tell you that the girl has no time, but rather send another girl.
Girls pressuring an up-sale - The price claims to be all inclusive, but the moment the girl is in the door suddenly everything costs extra.
Outright fraud - The girl asks for the money upfront and disappears for whatever reason. Or, hands the money to somebody outside who came with here, disappearing soon afterwards.
Many escort websites try to defraud casual business travelers or men with little experience seeing escorts. They wouldn't stay in business relying on regulars. I'm sure I have forgotten some tricks in the book. I'm deliberately skipping the really stupid scams (which no sane person should fall for) like luring you out of the Hotel to meet the girl (neutral meeting place in the Hotel is fine) and handing the money (which isn't a good idea, money only changes hands in the room).
